Here are three festive ways to stay close to donors, no matter the distance.
Frolic Festively The holidays are about spending time together. Ask your donors to join you for a virtual toast to the new year. Come right out and say that it’s a half-hour BYOB and that you will happily make it up with an in-person lunch once it’s safe. Show a quick testimonial video or share a story of how your community was positively impacted by your donors’ contributions. Add a seasonal virtual backdrop, wear a New Year’s hat, and add a party playlist. Nurture your connections!
Court Kindness Everyone loves to open something unexpected. Consider sending a Paperless Post e-card, a personalized video greeting, or a hand-written note so your donor “opens” something from you to them. Mail them artwork, photos, or a bookmark made by a program participant. If you’re close, send them a Happy New Year bitmoji by text. We love these Gratitude Cards by Sheri as a way to show you care!
Picture A Perfect New Year Share a custom screensaver or virtual background that highlights your mission or shows off your cause. Send several photos of happy clients showing the difference that donors’ gifts make. Send a Postagram or Touchnote instant postcard of a group from your agency with a HEALTHY 2021 sign. Allow a donor to decorate and surround themselves with the beautiful results of your nonprofit’s work.
