AN INTERIM WITH LASTING IMPACT
When our partner Claudia Zeldin stepped in as interim development director at the American Foundation for the Blind (AFB), she quickly assessed the $10 million agency’s development efforts and made recommendations for staffing, database management, and moves management to strengthen stewardship and individual giving. She also developed a case for major donors and secured corporate partnerships that included pro bono PSA production services, national media exposure, and public relations support. Under Claudia’s leadership, AFB’s annual gala doubled its net income. Upon leaving, Claudia provided the incoming VP of resource development with a fundraising plan that included new digital and social media strategies. In 2014 and again in 2017, Claudia provided event management consulting for AFB’s Helen Keller Achievement Awards.
