INTERIM DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR – DOUBLE MATERNITY LEAVES

Claudia Zeldin stepped in to oversee and stabilize Literacy Inc.’s development team while their Development Director and Major Gifts Manager were both going out on maternity leave. She oversaw the institutional, government, and corporate giving staff, and developed a year-long, integrated development and communications calendar. For over four months leading up to LINC’s Gala, Claudia worked collaboratively with an outside events consultant and supported the Executive Director, the Board, and Gala Co-Chairs to raise revenue goals. She also helped execute a hybrid donor cultivation event at Salesforce’s Corporate Headquarters and worked closely with LINC’s communications team to launch lapsed and new donor communications and host two virtual program events. Unexpectedly (because the unexpected is bound to happen!), the institutional giving manager resigned, and Claudia and the COO had to quickly bring in a temporary grant writer and coordinate a search and onboard a new fulltime institutional giving professional. Following two maternity leaves and a hire, the LINC team is now whole and humming!
