KICKING A GALA INTO HIGH GEAR AGAINST A SHORT TIMELINE
When New York Mission Society’s chief development officer resigned just four months before the annual gala, we stepped in to provide critical interim leadership. Our partner Joyce Isabelle effectively focused management, staff, and volunteers on short-term objectives and the end goal. She ensured clear, frequent, and effective communications with event honorees, committee chairs, host committee members, board members, donors, and volunteers. The Mission Society’s Teen Drum Corps kicked the gala into high gear with a drum line that ushered guests into the Plaza Hotel’s ballroom, and Youth Ambassadors warmed guests’ hearts with their awards presentations. The silent and live auctions rallied donors around the cause and helped beat the financial goal.
